2019: Equality Culture
In 2019 SAFIGI Outreach Foundation (Safety First for Girls) is collaborating with volunteers across the globe to host a podcast focused on gender, culture, and equality. We have shared our call to action on UN Online Volunteers.
Applications close on 8th February 2019.
Volunteer will hold a chat with two or more females on an audio recording about gender equality. The volunteer will hold two separate discussions. The first discussion on record will be about culture in the interviewed society that promotes gender equality and human dignity of women. The second discussion on record will be about problematic gender norms in the inverviewed local traditions and steps that can be taken to resolve this. Volunteers can come from any region in the globe and must be willing to interview females with different tradition and culture. SAFIGI will select the participant according to their initiative's guidelines. The discussions must be between 10 and 15 minutes. These discussions will be shared on our podcast titled 'Equality Culture' throughout the year 2019, with one recording shared per week. As indicated in the Copyright & Terms of Use, UNV name can't be used during the discussions.
