By Alana. R
This is the story of Alice for #EverydayAGirl, as shared by Alana. R via UN Online Volunteers.
This is Alice, she is 25 years old. She is from Brazil and lives
in Sao Paulo.
Currently, Alice is unemployed. So, she usually starts her day
checking her email and social media, trying to make plans for the future. She
is never away from her phone.
Alice lives with her parents and her grandmother, Liti, who is 80
years old. Her grandmother raised Alice
and her brothers. She stills is a very active woman and is always giving Alice
wise advice.
Alice has been learning how to ride a bike. At least twice a week
her brother takes her to the park to teach. Alice also likes to run. Being in
the park makes Alice relax and think about life.
That’s Alice
best friend Amanda who practices Capoeira (Brazilian martial arts). She has
been trying to convince Alice to practice too - without success so far. But
Alice always go to Capoeira events to motivate her friend.
Alice loves to cook. Most of the time she likes bake cakes,
cupcakes and cookies. She has a sweet tooth.
That’s Alice
puppy Devin. Alice loves her dog and loves playing with her. Spending time with
Devin makes her forget about her problems for a moment.
Alice started to take online French classes. She thinks the
language is beautiful and could help her to get better jobs opportunities in
the long-term. She also plans to have a master degree from a French university
in the future.
