Self- esteem is not static and can change.
A very high self esteem can lead to over powering behavior which can make others feel inferior. This is the kind of esteem that can be associated with bullies or most abusers. 'Pushing your way to get what you want despite the negative effect it may have on others.'
However, having a low self esteem can lead to being trampled on, being taken advantage of and even being abused among others. 'Being the doormat.'
The ideal self esteem is having a balanced esteem which is shown with confidence, knowing what is right and doing it regardless of others, understanding the self esteem of others and helping give them confidence because you are already confident.
Balanced self esteem is neither high nor low but its the middle one.
